Kerry over at KABS Concepts tagged me in a little question and answer session.  Please read on if you’d like to learn something new about little ole me….. 🙂

THE RULES:

Rules of the game: Respond and rework. Answer the questions on your own blog; replace one question that you dislike with a question of your own invention; add one more question of your own. Tag some friends to keep the flow going, let them know they’ve been tagged.

THE QUESTIONS:

What is your current obsession?  Wanting to branch out in to new design styles….utilizing vintage and electic pieces.  I’ve been collecting old rhinestone brooches and chain, religious medals and great old treasures recently.  Actually collecting “old” things is not a current obsession, it’s an ongoing obsession!

What flower are you most anxious to see bloom this spring?  Cherry blossoms, and they’ve already bloomed!

What is your biggest pet peeve?  I really dislike it when people cut in front of me in line.  You know when you’re waiting in line, then a new register opens?  Why people jump from behind me and rush to the new line without consideration (of me standing there with kids, clearly eager to check out as well) I’ll never know.  It is so much better when the clerk says, “Next in line?”.

What was the last thing you bought?  I bought a sweet print from the Etsy seller, Creative Thursday for a special upcoming birthday.

What are you listening to right now? The Fray by The Fray.  Can’t get enough by this band.  My husband says (along with Coldplay) that it is “suburban soccer Mom” music…but I disagree.  My kids don’t play soccer.  🙂

Favorite vacation spots?   We really don’t go on “vacation” these days with the kids and all….but we do get away to Ocean City a LOT.  We are grateful to stay at my parent’s place there that is on the bay side in a planned community…complete with kiddie beaches, indoor and outdoor pools, interactive water fountains, a grille, neighborhood events and an old-fashioned corner store.   We’ve been bringing the kids to OC since they were babies….now Nathaniel has visited this vacation hot spot too!

What are you reading right now?  Just bought the publication, “Where Women Create” yesterday and it’s more like enjoying all of the studio pictures rather than reading.

What four words would you use to describe yourself?  Stubborn (sometimes that’s good, sometimes that’s bad), thoughtful, observant, compassionate.

What is your current guilty pleasure?  Staying up late visiting my favorite blogs and Etsy…eating chocolate chip cookie dough.  This isn’t a new thing though….me and that cookie dough go way back!

Where are you planning to travel next?   It’s in state but still almost 3 hours away – Hampton, VA.  I am going to my first Art & Soul retreat!  I am so excited!!!  Look at this amazingly creative registration I received….yes, it’s a real old record that they used.  I know I am going to be so impressed by all of the artists there.

What was the best thing you ate or drank recently?   It would have to be the crab bisque I had at Philip’s over spring break.  Reminds me of the bisque my Grandmother used to make.

What are you most happy doing?  Sitting on the beach with a nice breeze, watching the kids play.  Celebrating the little things with my family.

What blog have you been following the longest?  And the most recent?  I’ve been following (no surprise!) KABS Creative Concepts since hmm…maybe 2006?  Was it earlier?  I found her through the early days on the Bead and Button forum…and we’ve become friends through the years. 🙂

Diane’s blog, Rosa & Josie’s,  is beautiful and I love how she chose her blog name!   She is such a sweet person and creates gorgeous jewelry (she’s the “cover girl” for the current Belle Armoire Jewelry magazine).

Care to share some wisdom?  It seems like things are busier than ever this year (hmm…wonder if a new baby has anything to do with it?), so I lately I am relying on practical words of wisdom.  Here’s a great one:    “You can’t stop the waves, but you can learn to surf” – Jon Kabat-Zinn.

I’m tagging these ladies whose blogs I enjoy and who I would like to get to know better…..

Alice of Painted White

Ann-Margaret of  Ann-Margaret’s Cupcake Visions

Lorelei of Lorelei:  Inside the Studio

There are so many of you I’d love to learn more about…who knows, this may come around full circle to you next.

Thanks for thinking of me Cindy…and you are the second person to tag me with this one! I haven’t done it yet but I will definitely try to very soon! Oh and I love The Fray too…and I am not a suburban soccor mom…I suppose I am a “suburban cairn terrier mom”…hehe…

Oh, sweet Cindy! Thank you for thinking of me =)
The pictures of your sons are just so, so precious. I love looking at them and their happy smiling faces. Right now you are still at Art & Soul, and I KNOW you will come home with the most amazing stories, new friends, experiences and knowledge. I want to hear all about it!
Hugs to you my friend!
