Week 31 Photo Challenge

Did someone say BLUE?

When Sally Russick shared that the photo prompt for Week 31 was “Hues of Blue”, I knew I would just have to jump in.  The 52 Week Photo Challenge is all about my favorite color.  I’m inspired by blue. I’m drawn to blue – and I know many of you are too.  I can’t help but pull out my camera when I see the right shade of blue. 🙂   If you’re crazy about aqua, teal and turquoise like me, please visit my Pinterest board and see the many beautiful pictures I’ve been collecting in this palette. Here are some of my own –

Old Blue Door

Vintage Estate Wagon toy car

Blue birdhouse

Blue Pie Safe

Chevrolet Bel Air

Vintage blue glass bottles

Old blue house

Old painted door

Tiffany & Co.

See what hues of blue others are sharing here.

What wonderful photos you’ve put together – I adore that house, and the cabinet is so beautiful, and I love your little collection of glass bottles – you have a fabulous eye for style and colour.

I think your estate wagon is actually green (but it’s probably just my monitor!)… I love the door and I would hate to paint that shingled house! Wonderful collection of ‘blue’ photographs!

Dang! I swapped your buyer appreciation surprise at the last minute. Oh well, I am sure you will like what I sent. I really like the front end of that car and we can see the photographer in the chrome bumper. They are all wonderful photographs. Thanks for sharing.

Oh – squeal!! Love all your blues,…especially the doors – wow! Blue’s my favorite as well – I’m heading out to drool over your Pinterest board now 🙂 Oh, and that little estate wagon is adorable and your photo of it is wonderful.

Wonderful photos Cindy! They make a great series. The pale blue door is captivating, even though it is worn and peeling it is still beautiful because of the calming shade of pale blue painted upon it.

Cindy your photos always have so much depth and perfect composition to them. I always go back several times and look at your photos. Great job.

Cindy,

That pie safe is fantastic!! What a unique design on it. Tell me you bought it, please! I laughed when I saw the last picture… Who isn’t a blue person?

Lovely photos you’ve curated! This is my absolute favourite shade of blue as well…that soft, well worn aqua. Gorgeous!

Oh what wonderful examples of the hues of blue you’ve got here! Yeah, the aquas, turquoises, and teals are also my favorites. I just love that you got so many chippy, crackle examples too. Love!

Lovely images Cindy. I think it was a popular prompt this week, I’ve seen many that have said they’re favourite is blue, and when you see lovely images like this it’s hard not to agree.

Is there anything that doesn’t look great in BLUE, Cindy? There is a reason the skies AND the waters of Earth are blue 🙂 I believe it’s our search for the comfort of our primordial roots that lends such a sense of belonging to this colour. Love your wonderful selection of images, as always!

Adrienne August 5, 2013 at 4:08 pm
