Ocean Treasures {and blog treasures too}

**Just a few more days until the big blog Give Away!  Enter here if you haven’t already done so….and good luck!**

Once the 4th of July comes around, it really hits me that we’re practically smack in the middle of summer.  And I feel a bit of a panic because I realize it’s going by too fast….after waiting all year for these long, warm days.  This is truly my favorite time of the year.  I can’t believe I haven’t been posting more summer-inspired jewelry, so I’m not going to waste any more time.   Ocean Treasures are pieces with a LOT of handwrought sterling silver wire, glass beads, Hilltribe silver charms, Swarovsi crystal, hammered coils and amazonite  nuggets.  The beautiful boro beads by  DeMarie Rossi are full of depth and color.

While I was out perusing some of the wonderful blogs by the entrants to the current blog Give Away, I found many summer-inspired pieces that I’d like to share here with you.  Please visit the blogs of these talented ladies to see more!

Theresa Buchle of Bead-Mused is a beadwork instructor who uses Japanese seed beads.  Just look at this intricate bracelet…it took 50 hours to create!

This next bracelet features incredible wirework and a pretty focal.  Susan of Hot Rocks Glass Jewels has a way with pairing her creations with rock lyrics; you’ll have fun visiting her site.

Susan was so sweet and gave me a blog award…nothing like a little blog bling! 🙂

And if you’ve never read Cerebral Dilettante, Keirsten Giles’ blog, you’re in for a treat.  Keirsten has a way with words and her blog always brings a smile…she’s one clever lady who is equally talented creating jewelry.

LOVE your Ocean Treasures, just breathtaking! Love the emerald tones in the glass beads combined with the aqua blue. I’ve been really into aquas too, watery looking stones. That snail shell is amazing–did you make it? Thanks for the props on my blog! Going to visit these other artists now!

Thanks so much, Susan, Jennifer, Sonja, Keirsten, Lilibulle and Elaine! No, I didn’t make the snail/shell focal (wish I WERE that skilled!), it is Hilltribe silver. Your comments sure made me smile. 🙂

Hey Cindy,
Great photos from the Beach! The boys are getting taller! Do your parents still own that condo?
You really have a talent for making jewelry! Very cool & unique pieces.
