Coastal Cottage

by Cindy on July 27, 2009

Welcome back from the weekend.  I know, it’s Monday and it came way too soon!

I’m continuing with one of my all-time favorite themes here and created another summery piece of jewelry over the weekend.  This necklace features a porcelain sand dollar pendant hand made by Erin of Every Heart Crafts.  I’ve named this one Coastal Cottage…there just seems to be a bit of a shabby chic feel to it.  I used annealed steel wire for a rustic look, and wire wrapped a mix of pearls, wood and mother of pearl beads in subdued colors.   This one’s available in my Etsy shop now.

If you need a smile today, I can’t resist sharing a couple pictures taken over the weekend.  The kids were outside again playing with the hose and kiddie pool…and this little guy joined right in.  Here he is doing his famous “bear crawl”! 🙂

A really lovely, harmonious piece! Great use of Erin’s pendant and the steel and pearls (you know I love the steel!). That little guy’s gonna be walkin’ any time now– are you ready?

Great pictures of the “little guy”! Carrie’s party was nice and it didn’t rain until about 8 in the evening. Frank and I are driving to Columbia today to visit his squadron commander who is 92 and recently moved there from North Carolina. We go home tomorrow. Short and sweet visit. Love and prayers, Madeline

Beautiful necklace Cindy! I love those wire wrapped pearls and Erin’s focals are wonderful. The little guy looks like he’s having fun. I’m guessing walking is not too far down the track.

Cindy,

You have certainly captured the essence of all that is the beach in your beautiful piece!! Our beaches here are those exact colors. Ours are much more mellow earth tones then the beaches in the Caribbean.

Oye he is way to cute, I think I need to call my grandson’s papa I need a grandbaby fix!! 🙂
