May you have lots of good luck in your sock

four-leaf-clover

Today my son found his very first 4 leaf clover.  We were outside again playing in the kiddie pool, and I noticed there were patches of clovers all around us.  I said, “Want to try looking for a four leaf clover?”  I love these little symbols of good luck and was really hoping to find one after a rough couple of days.  Immediately he found one (then went on to say finding them was so easy….of course that’s the only one we found today).  When we went inside, he said, “I’m going to keep the good luck from my clover in my sock.”  What better place to store it??  We left the clover outside all day and it became quite crinkly, but it is now safely stored between the pages of my Dad’s family bible.

I drove to the beach with the kids…what a long four hours.  I’ll be here until…when, I’m not sure.  If you don’t hear from me here, you’ll know it’s because I’m simply enjoying getting away from home and my routine.  Oh, and don’t forget to say “Jack Rabbit!”…for good luck on the 1st of the month (especially if your sock looks empty)!   Just something fun my brother and I have been saying since our high school days in Germany…not sure where it originated . 😉

Thanks for stopping by, everyone. It’s been warm, sunny and nice at the beach…until the very son pictured ran out of that luck (must be because he
wasn’t wearing those socks!) and got stung by a jellyfish! Luckily though it wasn’t a bad one and he’s doing just fine!

Thanks for sharing your fun, Cindy! Cute picture of Chandler! I was looking for 4 leaf clovers on Friday while weeding but didn’t have Chandler’s luck! Enjoy the beach!

Yikes,

Please tell “the very son pictured” that I know exactly how he felt 🙁 I had a Portuguese man of war sting me on my foot and ankle!! 🙁 I used ice and meat tenderizer to help it stop hurting. It was so cool cuz I had the red sting marks for weeks so I could brag about it 🙂

Cindy if you don’t use E6000 for jewelry glue (metal to metal, glass etc) what do you use??? The new glue is okay but I’m not ready to trust it with much weight. It’s E6000 that I used to glue the MA cyrstal to the metal wires and glue the bisque head to the metal “shelf” in the Elvolution of an Inspiration piece. Couldn’t solder cuz those “metal” pieces were some kind of ally that wouldn’t hold the solder.
