I hope you’re staying dry wherever you are visiting from….it’s another wet and chilly day around here! 🙁 BUT I do have a few good things to share that just might brighten your day.
Just in time for the holidays, Susan Tuttle is offering “quickie” class: Holiday Digitial Card Making Workshop. If you missed her Visual Poetry class and wanted to do something fun with your photos, stop by and see what she has in store. This one looks like it will be full of great information and starts on Nov. 16th.
Oh my goodness, look at this beautiful flag! “The Women-The Flag” is an incredible 32″x50″ piece of art by KC Willis. I’m fairly new to KC’s blog, but just found out 1) she will be giving away this flag!!! and 2) she will be hosting an online marketing workshop for artists that will really appeal to many of you that are stopping by! KC’s workshop will begin in December, and here in her words, are the topics that will be covered:
• Creating a cohesive, signature look
• Working in series
• Consignment vs. wholesale
• Pricing your work
• The differences between approaching a gallery, a shop, an on-line retailer or a catalog
• Using Social Networks
• PR-how to get written about in newspapers and magazines
• Marketing your work without leaving home
• The Pros and Cons of having an Artist’s Rep.
• Researching your market
• Licensing your work and your name.
• Blogs vs. Websites
• Selling on-line
• Keeping motivated
• Becoming fearless
• And soooooo much more.

Hi Cindy, staying toasty warn and dry in the house. The only time I need to get out today is to pick up the kids from school. Lots of fun things to consider and read about in your post today…..going to go and make some hot chocolate with lots of whip cream topping right now!
Unfortunately it’s one of those seriously busy days here and I’m having to run around 1/2 dozen times in and out of the house. Absolutely no fun in this kind of weather! I did grab a cup of cocoa for the car ride though!
I’m going to put this workshop on my wish list and hope Santa is listening! Sounds like a highly informative learning experience! Thank you for sharing. Millie

Greetings Dear Bloglandian SIster!!!!
First a belated Birthday wish!!!! 🙂 I’m so happy to be home after 2 weeks in the Northlands!! I have so missed all my kindred sisters!!! I couldn’t even check on you guys while we were gone. It seems that there are tons of dead spots in large parts of the country. 🙁 I can’t remember being so frustrated and cut off from friends before.
You have been creating the most wonderful things in my absense, I love them. I can’t wait to make some art as soon as I get us back on a roll!! 🙂
Pattie 😉
