Happy 1st Monday of 2010!
Sharon of Livewire Jewelry made note that it’s the first MONDAY of the new year and is making sure it’s a good one by hosting a bracelet give away….so go take a peek if you’d like to enter! You do not need to have a blog to enter!
If your goals for 2010 include taking your business to a new level, then please bookmark KC Willis’ Marketing Mindset online workshop. I’ve already signed up for this workshop that will include videos and an ongoing online discussion group. KC is offering an introductory price until January 8th. I’m looking forward to the inspiration, motivation, and expertise I am sure that will come from being part of this workshop. You will find information about KC’s other classes such as mixed media and collage, both in person and online on her blog, Lipstick Ranch. And see that amazing collage right up top? She is giving one away to EVERYONE who mentions these workshops either on their blogs, Yahoo group or Facebook art group!!! So very generous.

Now on to a few traditional bookmarks! Just thought I’d show you a few beaded things I made over the holidays. I wanted to give the teachers something handmade to go along with a bookstore gift card. It was fun picking themes for the teachers and family. I gave my sister a horse-themed bookmar with a new bridle. And my sister-in-law received one with a garden theme to go along with a few books. When I asked my oldest son what his teacher likes, he had an answer right away – dragonflies! I found this great idea for dragonfly earrings over at Artbeads and adapted it fo my bookmark. If you’d like to create your own theme bookmark, you’ll want to check out the site where I ordered mine – Primitive Earth Beads – they have bookmarks in so many different styles and in finishes from copper to brass!
Thanks for stopping by!

hi, Cindy! Happy 2010! I love the bookmarks you made–what a great gift idea! We just returned home from Baltimore yesterday so now am busy with laundry, mail etc. and then to put away Christmas. The house always seems so empty when we first “undecorate”! Did Michael and Audra and the boys get to spend much time with you? The pictures of little William in the snow are priceless! Keep in touch and keep creating! Love,Madeline
Happy New Year, Cindy! I love those bookmarks, especially the ones with the dragonflies. I just love dragonflies, and collect pottery with dragonfly motifs. What lucky teachers!
