Good Morning (or afternoon to some friends!)
I sure hope everyone enjoyed their Valentine’s Day whether it was spent alone or with loved ones. As for me, it was eventful because we finally took our little guy in for his first haircut. I was holding on. I just loved the way his hair curled after his bath….but, he was being confused for a little girl way too frequently (even in blue corduroy overalls). We took him in to see the same lady who cut my first son’s hair 8 years ago. It was hard for me to see my little baby’s curls fall to the floor. Luckily I have plenty of locks saved along with a certificate from his First Haircut. Lunch at the Cheesecake Factory afterwards made things a little better.
The Valentine’s Day parties will be made up this week since schools have been closed due to the snow. I couldn’t resist sharing the boy’s Valentine’s Day cards with you (if you’ll excuse these horrible indoor-lighting-at-night photos!). Kerry Bogert clued me in to this great project, which can be found on this blog. If you have kids, you may want to file away this idea for next year!

If you are new to the sweet bead studio blog, I’m so happy you found me. Thanks to ALL for stopping by. Have a great week!

Sweet Cindy, thank you to share these lovely photos of your guys with us. Your little boy is always the most “adorable” i have seen for a long time. Give them kisses from France for me please.
Cindy….your little fellow looks so grown up now doesn’t he??? Our grandson had his first haircut Saturday morning…Friday he was ONE!!! He looks like a little man. We went to his BD party Saturday afternoon….I took over 200 pictures~LOL! My husband almost fell over with laughter yesterday when I told him that. He just loves Alton so much, I think he is about to burst!!
I will share my photos when I can….
Love you and your family~my friend =)
xoxox
p.s. the Valentine’s Cards of your other guys~PRICELESS! They are ALL SO handsome! Clever idea~you know what Cindy….you are a great MOM.
Aawwww, he looks so cute and grown up. I love the cards from your boys. Thanks for sharing.
The first haircut…oh how I remember that so well. I actually video taped it. I hated to see my son Nicholas’s little blond curls be cut away, but a haircut always brought out the plumpness in his cheeks so it was an ok trade off.
The Valentine cards are priceless! I am glad you had a nice day.
How sweet your little guy looks with his first hair cut. Those valentines are fantastic. What a wonderful idea.
Such lovely pictures! Your boys are soooo handsome!
You must have so many wonderful days with them! PS Im going to get back to you on that e~mail 🙂 ox

Wow, what a difference a haircut makes! He looks so grown up! Glad you all had a great day! Sending hugs!
Aw, look how cute the little guy is with his new haircut!!
Even though you miss those baby curls, the lady did a wonderful job on his first haircut 🙂
Those Valentine’s are so much FUN! Seriously, I would have loved to have those for when I was in school(I would have been so cool! LOL).
Awww…the first haircut. Just seems like it was yesterday when my son was there…What a great idea for the kids Valentine’s cards, very unique and a keepsake for you and them. We returned to school today for the first time in 3 weeks…shew…a LONG break!
Oh, how precious!! His 1st haircut is so cute!! What a handsome lil fella! 🙂 I can just imagine it being difficult to let those curly locks go, but he just looks so stinkin’ cute!! And, I just love their Valentine cards…what a cute idea! You are such a sweet mom!!…and, friend!! Hope you had a great Valentine’s Day!!
Your boys are adorable! And I love those Valentines. Will have to file for next year. My daughter (2nd grade) was the only one in her class to give out handmade Valentines. And she made them completely by herself! Used a paperpunch to cut out hearts from magazine/catalog pages, glued three onto the front of each card, printed each child’s name on the front of the card, wrote, Happy Valentines Day, Love, Rachel on the inside of every card. She was so proud of herself, but only half as proud as I was. Wish I had taken photos, so I could blog about it . . .still getting into that habit. No Valentines at all for the 5th grader – getting too old! Thanks for sharing.
Cindy,
What cute pics of the boys. I loved the Valentine cards, too. Great idea
Thanks,
Ethan is finally going back to school tomorrow. I’m not even sure they are going to have their valentine party.
Oh well, Have a great day.
Sweet Nathaniel, he’s has such a beautiful, sweet face. I don’t know how some could have mistaken him as a little girl..he definitely looks all boy to me….
Cute Cute Cute Kids! Love the Valentine idea. My girls are grown : ( but I do have a granddaughter! Will save that idea in the memory bank for next year!
Hey Cindy, thanks for your nice comment – but quite frankly, my wire work is nothing like yours. Happy belated Valentines day to you and yours. Nicki
Cindy, that brought back so many memories for me. You could have been writing about my son. A beautiful baby with pale blond hair and blue eyes, it seemed like it took forever for his hair to grow in and then it only grew in the back, touched his neck and curled up. He was going on three before I even thought of a hair cut. But everyone always thought he was a little girl because he was so ‘pretty’ and I dressed him in nothing but blue it seemed. I remember one time I was looking through some things my mother had passed down to me from when I was a baby. There were some of my baby dresses in there and just for laughs, and not in front of anyone, I put one of them on him. I tell you he never looked more like a boy! His build and demeanor even at that age shouted all boy! 🙂 But I did finally give in and gave him his first hair cut. There were no tears and of course I saved those little curls cut off but only to loose them a few years later in a house fire. Later when he was older he grew his hair long and into a ponytail. He had it for years and finally in his early 20’s decided to cut it off. That I still have and it’s just as precious to me.
Love your cute little valentines, they remind me of something I saw years ago, people posed in different planned poses and taken at a certain distance. Then these were mounted to heavy card stock, trimmed out all around the person and then set up in a slitted holder to look like a 3-D sculpture.
OMG! These are the cutest cards ever! What a great idea…
Hey Cindy- Knowing you, you’ll make some incredible keepsake with your baby’s curls! What a sweet moment that must have been.
Be well and stay warm!
Cindy, those Valentines are just the cutest. Thanks for sharing. Your little guy looks so grown up without his baby curls. That’s such a sad day. I remember doing the same with my youngest, and holding back the sniffles…
