Thank you for stopping by after my long absence! I have been away simply enjoying SUMMER. It’s that time of year when a few of the blogs are starting to mention (gasp!) fall colors, cool weather and boot shopping! Okay, hold on here. Wasn’t it just yesterday that everyone was dreaming of warm weather and snapping pictures of every blooming bud spotted in their gardens? We were all wishing for summer time. Therefore I am not going to rush through one single day of summer. I. Want. 🙂 I am struggling to enjoy these last few days before the kids go back to school!
I’m with you Cindy… I’m not ready for summer to be over yet. Even though autumn is my favorite season, it means driving in the (beautiful) snow that much sooner! You’ve picked out some gorgeous little pieces of art!
Bring on the fall!!! When you live in a part of the world where it stays 90% humidity in 97 degree weather and you sweat even while in the swimming pool….Fall is a welcome sight. (Of course in said geographic location, fall usually does not arrive until somewhere around mid-September. )
I’m with ya! While autumn is my favorite season, and the current temps qualify as being in the scorcher zone, I don’t want to rush summer.

I always feel terrible talking about fall on my blog knowing just how much you love summer. And did you notice, I haven’t mentioned once how many days are left until school? That is all for you girl. My lips are sealed. I am so glad you are living it up!!
Ive been thinking about you down at the beach and having a grand time…memories the children will always cherish! Im with you let the summer days still be here and lots of swimming and picnics..But I am a fall girl at heart and winter is my great love too. Bring on the cool and cold blustery nights lol. In Scotland at my husbands cottage it must of been the angle and air flow for the wind would whip around the corners, the eaves singing it was a treasure! But it is summer August and enjoy enjoy I will be thinking of you..
I’m totally with ya on this! I would love to be able to extend Summer by a few more months at least!…but I have to keep telling myself to look away from the boots 🙂
As a teacher, I count every precious day left of summer vacation. There are in fact 27 more precious days left to my vacation. Thanks for sharing your etsy yearnings. I’m lovin’ that conch shell bead. How creative! But don’t spend too much time on your computer. Go on, get out there now!
I can go with 11 month summer and one month of winter, but who asks me? We have tons of rain during summer anyways, so the only difference to fall over here is that the temperature drops. I prefer summer….

Ooooh, digging your selections. Thanks for the comments on my blog and participating in my giveaway. I hope your time at the beach was awesome! We are taking a late August trip to Seattle and Tucson and then Norfolk over Labor Day to see my brother’s ship return from deployment. It will be great fun but whew! I’m tired just reading what I wrote 🙂 p.s. – my idea for a small bead show in my neighborhood has had a set back – the cool mom-owned coffee shop has gone out of business! More to mull over…. 🙂

Summer is quickly slipping by…and we still have so many things we want to do before the kids head back to school. But I must admit…fall is my favorite time of year…I’m done with this heat! I hope you enjoy the last few weeks of summer. Love the Raku Beaches beads!

That’s what summer is all about!!! Hanging with the kiddos it won’t be to many more before the guys cut the strings.
You know I thought of you and your red head league while playing with Dylan 😉 He is the spitting image of his papa at 18months red hair and always on the run!!
Did you guys come through the big storm okay?? It looked like a number of towns were hit really hard with a lot of trees down and building damage.
