Hello world
How is everyone on this beautiful Fall day? The morning after the election…with winds of change in the air. I spoke to a friend this morning who was down about the election, and another who was really happy. It’s certainly not your average Wednesday!
For me this morning was supposed to be a catch-up day since my youngest is staying at school for an extra hour…thank goodness for Lunch Bunch! But I’ve been caught up with editing jewelry photos and not doing the not-so-fun stuff like paying bills and working on paperwork. So I need to get back on track. But before I go, I wanted to share a photo in this brief post. I recently made two of these long (about 35 inches if I remember correctly) necklaces. I wanted to create a necklace that would be a Fall wardrobe staple – one that could be worn with practically anything. A ton of wire wrapping went in to this one. Lots of handmade lampwork by Moon Stumpp (so much fun to inspect each one individually to admire the colors and techniques she used), Swarovski crystal and stone beads. The best part is that the necklace can be doubled and worn as a two strand necklace. (edit: this necklace is now sold – thank you!)
With a new Nathaniel in the house, I couldn’t resist sharing a timely quote from a famous Nathaniel:
“I cannot endure to waste anything as precious as autumn sunshine by staying in the house. So I spend almost all the daylight hours in the open air.”
Nathaniel Hawthorne
