Every leaf is a flower?

by Cindy on September 25, 2007

Welcome to the first week of Autumn!  Are the days getting cooler where you are?  We have had temperatures in the high 80’s here.  But of course it is getting darker much earlier at night (oh no!).  I caught the headline of a local paper this morning and was momentarily confused when I read that Spring fashions were hitting the runway….in Milan.

Hmmm…what have I been up to today?  It was a busy evening here.  We attended Parent’s Night at the school which meant I drove out there 3 times today.  Many of you may know that there is now a very long commute involved with the new school.  I can tell you about every light, construction site (total excitement when you are 3 years old), and type of truck that is on the road between here and there.  I think my kids would agree though that it is worth the drive.  And now I am up late, having just wrapped up an order for 2 boxes of disposable lab coats and gloves.  Not the usual online shopping, but we’re getting ready around here for an upcoming Mad Science birthday party!  I am trying to get some of those little details out of the way and I have less than 2 weeks to go.

I found this great quotation about Fall.  Considering Spring is one of my favorite seasons, I sure like this perspective.

“Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower.”

 – Albert Camus
