Something for everyone

Here’s a Friday round up with a little something for everyone.

If you’re stopping by here and you love to create jewelry too, this one’s for you! ….. It’s been previewed on many of the blogs I like to read, and it’s finally made it’s way to my mailbox!  My copy arrived of the highly anticipated Jewelry Zine by Catherine Witherell (of Happy Day Art) and Deryn Mentock (of Something Sublime).  Are you wondering what a Zine is??  A Zine is an independently published work, and in this case an incredible 128 pages that you’ll want on your studio shelf.  This beautiful publication won’t just sit on your shelf though, if you’re like me, you’ll find yourself picking it up (I brought mine in the car even for all of those moments when I have to wait, wait, wait) over and over to read the interviews, projects, tips and photo inspiration!  No matter if you like to etch copper, create miniature doll art or work with PMC, you’ll find something to admire!

Now if you’re stopping by for a picture or two of the family, here’s a few from yesterday.  The 1st graders put on a Dinoasaur musical……and it was fun to see the kids sing all of the songs I’ve been hearing hummed in my house for weeks.  My husband even put together this quickie costume which actually involved some sewing!  What a guy.

And guess who turned 5 months old already?  You guessed it!  Here’s a picture taken at a nearby Starbucks while we were waiting for class to adjourn.

Now I better run!  I’ve done a bit of laundry and cleaning and I’m hoping to sneak in a moment to work on a necklace project before the baby wakes up!  🙂   Have a nice weekend!
