Earring Update Day
by Cindy on June 23, 2012

It’s earrings and nothing but earrings today! It must be the warm weather – I’ve had dresses and sandals on my mind…. I’ll admit I have wedges in almost every color. My favorite season (along with Spring) has arrived, and earrings are the perfect accessory. I’ve been having fun making easy, breezy summery earrings when I can …. nothing complicated – just like summer time.
Becky Caldwell of The Gritty Bird, you’re the one!! 🙂 Thanks everyone for playing along.
Now on to the earrings….. this first group features Sue Kennedy’s lampwork in olive, green and teal.

Here I’ve used polymer clay leaf charms by Heather Powers. I’m crazy about the colors she uses in her work.

For the next couple, I used earring findings by AD Adornments, complete with Swarovski crystal.

And a few more….

Not only was I in an earring-making kick lately, I also shopped for handmade earrings. I didn’t have to look long before Sandra Sculli’s beaded earrings caught my eye. And I wanted them in every color….I let my sister pick a pair and she picked the gold. Now I need to see if Sandra would make me another pair in gold ! If you have the gift of working with seed beads, you can purchase Sandra’s Cross Medallion tutorial on both Craftsy and Etsy. I just had to share pictures of Sandra’s origami-style packaging and her pretty earrings…

Thanks for stopping by & have a super weekend!

I meant to write…Well, now I have to!! xoxo
Cindy, you are on an earring roll! All of your designs are beautiful. I do love wire designs and when I have time from my seed bead obsession I will return to wire designs. Of course, thanks for being a loyal buyer of my seed bead designs. There is something about the gold/bronze earrings that makes them a first pick. As you know, my sister also took that pair from me too.
You’re absolutely right about a great collection for summer! Love them all, but my eyes kept going back to the polymer leaf earrings. Just stunning!
Gorgeous earrings – all!
Ooooh! Love the Optimized pair. I don’t have the Southwest blend but I bet they would look great in Aztec, too! Sometimes we just need the (almost) instant gratification that earrings provide. Thanks for sharing some much-needed inspiration, Cindy!
All such pretty earrings! and congrats to the winner!
Wow have you ever been busy! These are all so pretty. I couldn’t pick a favorite if I had to. I love them all!
Are you going to the beach for the summer again? I keep telling my husband that we now live ON THE COAST (or near) so we should be visiting the beach weekly at the very least. Hasn’t happened yet but soon!
Have fun this summer. Glad you ARE doing bead soup!

You have been a busy beader – love earring – never leave home without them!!
Beautiful Earrings Cindy. Must be season. I’m making earrings too.
Oh – you make me want to go on an earring making kick Cindy! I love all of the pairs you made – but I had to go back and look at the first pair several times. Gorgeous wire wrapping on those hoops!
OH MY GOODNESS!
I am so excited to have won…. thank you so very much Cindy!
All of earrings are simply LOVELY and very inspiring… I greatly love earrings to and think that they make the perfect summer accessory… 🙂 🙂
Beautiful earrings, especially for summer! Sometimes in the summer, I find it is too hot to wear a necklace, so cute earrings are an essential accessory!
Every new pair is just as lovely as the last….oh my! Do you ever pick your jewelry first and then go get dressed!! Laughing!! Hope you and the family are having a great summer.
Oh Cindy, eventually I managed to make a round through my fav blogs – as always your work is absolutely stunning!
Ohhh, such pretty earrings! You are definately on a roll here. I think my favorite are the pretty brown ones you featured in that very first photo. Every girl needs earrings, even if they don’t wear any other jewelry.
First of all, congratulations to the very lucky Becky! I have no doubt those earrings are going to a fabulous home where they’ll be loved 🙂
Second, WOW! You weren’t kidding when you said you were on an earring kick! I was well enough to do a little beading, but I only came up with 2 earrings. LOL
Gotta love earrings! And all the pairs you’ve created are beautiful! Such a variety of styles and gorgeous beads! Of course the one’s your purchased are lovely as well!
I found your blog through Lori Anderson’s bead soup blog hop…I love these earrings so much! Beautiful colours and great use of wire wraps and shapes. Hope you enjoy the bead soup swap!

I love your earrings, especially the wirework. I’m in the bead soup too.
Oh Cindy, these are fabulous!
I’m an earring girl all year round, but you’re right – something about summer makes me want to wear them every day. I think a great pair of earrings can dress up any casual outfit (which is good, because that’s pretty much all I wear)!
I guess I like those dark amber ones the best with your signature wire-wrapping! Earrings are my favorite way of trying our new polymer clay ideas– they are little works of art. Thanks for sharing these little wonders!
Yes, Cindy, these are great! I think my favs are the smoke ‘trios’, with just enough wire detail. Yum!! Happy Summer!
Stunning earrings, Cindy….I always admire your wirework. Fun colors too!
Hugs

Oh my gosh – I just stumbled onto your site and I love, love, LOVE your style. My faves are the first pair with the copper ring and wired beads! I have needed to clean up around my jewelry crafting area and have been avoiding it – now you have given me lots of inspiration to get my A$$ in gear and go make beautiful things! Thank you!
Lovely work you’re doing there. I especially love those smoky brown triple drop earrings. They’re simple, classy and so pretty. As an artisan myself there’s definitely inspiration to be had here. Keep up the great work and I wish you much success.
