What is your current obsession?<\/strong>\u00a0 Wanting to branch out in to new design styles….utilizing vintage and electic pieces.\u00a0 I’ve been collecting old rhinestone brooches and chain, religious medals and great old treasures recently.\u00a0 Actually collecting “old” things is not a current obsession, it’s an ongoing obsession!<\/p>\n

What flower are you most anxious to see bloom this spring?<\/strong>\u00a0 Cherry blossoms, and they’ve already bloomed!<\/p>\n

View when we open our front door<\/p><\/div>\n

What is your biggest pet peeve?<\/strong>\u00a0 I really dislike it when people cut in front of me in line.\u00a0 You know when you’re waiting in line, then a new register opens?\u00a0 Why people jump from behind me and rush to the new line without consideration (of me standing there with kids, clearly eager to check out as well) I’ll never know.\u00a0 It is so much better when the clerk says, “Next in line?”.<\/p>\n

What was the last thing you bought?<\/strong>\u00a0 I bought a sweet print from the Etsy seller, Creative Thursday <\/a>for a special upcoming birthday.<\/p>\n

What are you listening to right now?<\/strong> The Fray <\/em>by The Fray.\u00a0 Can’t get enough by this band.\u00a0 My husband says (along with Coldplay) that it is “suburban soccer Mom” music…but I disagree.\u00a0 My kids don’t play soccer.\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

Favorite vacation spots?<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0 We really don’t go on “vacation” these days with the kids and all….but we do get away to Ocean City a LOT.\u00a0 We are grateful to stay at my parent’s place there that is on the bay side in a planned community…complete with kiddie beaches, indoor and outdoor pools, interactive water fountains, a grille, neighborhood events and an old-fashioned corner store.\u00a0\u00a0 We’ve been bringing the kids to OC since they were babies….now Nathaniel has visited this vacation hot spot too!<\/p>\n

What are you reading right now?<\/strong>\u00a0 Just bought the publication, “Where Women Create” yesterday and it’s more like enjoying all of the studio pictures rather than reading<\/em>.<\/p>\n

What four words would you use to describe yourself?<\/strong>\u00a0 Stubborn (sometimes that’s good, sometimes that’s bad), thoughtful, observant, compassionate.<\/p>\n

What is your current guilty pleasure?<\/strong>\u00a0 Staying up late visiting my favorite blogs and Etsy…eating chocolate chip cookie dough.\u00a0 This isn’t a new thing though….me and that cookie dough go way back!<\/p>\n

Where are you planning to travel next?<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0 It’s in state but still almost 3 hours away – Hampton, VA.\u00a0 I am going to my first Art & Soul <\/a>retreat!\u00a0 I am so excited!!!\u00a0 Look at this amazingly creative registration I received….yes, it’s a real old record that they used.\u00a0 I know I am going to be so impressed by all of the artists there.<\/p>\n

What was the best thing you ate or drank recently?<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0 It would have to be the crab bisque I had at Philip’s over spring break.\u00a0 Reminds me of the bisque my Grandmother used to make.<\/p>\n

What are you most happy doing?<\/strong>\u00a0 Sitting on the beach with a nice breeze, watching the kids play.\u00a0 Celebrating the little things with my family.<\/p>\n

What blog have you been following the longest?\u00a0 And the most recent?\u00a0 <\/strong>I’ve been following (no surprise!) KABS Creative Concepts\u00a0<\/a>since hmm…maybe 2006?\u00a0 Was it earlier?\u00a0 I found her through the early days on the Bead and Button forum…and we’ve become friends through the years. \ud83d\ude42\u00a0<\/p>\n

Diane’s blog,\u00a0Rosa & Josie’s<\/a>,\u00a0 is beautiful and I love how she chose her blog name!\u00a0\u00a0 She is such a sweet person and creates gorgeous jewelry (she’s the “cover girl” for the current Belle Armoire Jewelry<\/em> magazine).<\/p>\n

Care to share some wisdom?\u00a0 <\/strong>It seems like things are busier than ever this year (hmm…wonder if a new baby has anything to do with it?), so I\u00a0lately I am relying on practical words of wisdom.\u00a0\u00a0Here’s a great one: \u00a0\u00a0 “You can’t stop the waves, but you can learn to surf” – Jon Kabat-Zinn.<\/p>\n
