That about sums up my weekend. \ud83d\ude42\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

On Saturday it was an early birthday party for my 6-going-on-7 year old son.\u00a0 He and his brothers are completely obsessed with Legos so you can guess what kind of theme he asked for this year!\u00a0\u00a0 We rented a space through the community center that is actually an art gallery right on Lake Ann<\/a>.\u00a0 My husband ran the show, complete with microphone in hand (until we were told the party was too loud and that, sadly, he needed to chill out with the microphone action).\u00a0 There was Lego race car building, tallest-weirdest-fastest competitions, making slime and engulfing Legos, and even picking up Legos with chopsticks.\u00a0 A great time was had by all.<\/p>\n

Flashback: Construction party for a 3 year old!<\/p><\/div>\n

Today was all about jewelry.\u00a0 I know, it may not seem like I’m creating anything new.\u00a0 But there’s plenty of \u00a0bead-related action going on behind the scenes.\u00a0 Take the Gem and Jewelry show.\u00a0 Yes, it was in town again<\/em>.\u00a0\u00a0 My husband took the older boys to the NCAA lacrosse championships in Annapolis (my brother’s alma maters played each other:\u00a0\u00a0 Hopkins vs. UVA).\u00a0 I spent 3 1\/2 hours with the baby at the bead show.\u00a0 Walking around carrying a heavy baby that long may seem impossible, unless you’re completely enjoying yourself.\u00a0 Time flew by!\u00a0\u00a0 I really didn’t need <\/em>anything in particular…just wanted to look at the pearls and faceted stones.\u00a0 I did find a few beautiful strands and more Hilltribe silver.<\/p>\n

Fossils and a carved stone...I always bring something home for the boys.<\/p><\/div>\n

I did focus on beads all day, really.\u00a0 Once I returned home I headed straight back to work on the tutorials I’ve been writing.\u00a0 I’m in the midst of writing up 4 tutorials, which for a non-writing type like myself, is a lot!\u00a0\u00a0 Mixing that with limited time and procrastination is not a good thing.\u00a0 But I’m making some good progress!<\/p>\n
