{"id":1263,"date":"2009-06-04T07:53:39","date_gmt":"2009-06-04T14:53:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.sweetbeadstudio.com\/?p=1263"},"modified":"2009-06-04T07:53:39","modified_gmt":"2009-06-04T14:53:39","slug":"green-pepper-press-street-team","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.sweetbeadstudio.com\/?p=1263","title":{"rendered":"Green Pepper Press Street Team"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left;\">That&#8217;s sure an attention-getter for a name!\u00a0 I was recently introduced to Michelle Ward&#8217;s site and art challenges in some of my favorite blogs.\u00a0\u00a0 While visiting <a href=\"http:\/\/somethingsublime.typepad.com\/something_sublime_from_th\/\">Something Sublime <\/a>and <a href=\"http:\/\/rosa-josies.blogspot.com\/\">Rosa &amp; Josie&#8217;s<\/a>, I enjoyed their posts about GPP&#8217;s latest Crusade entitled, &#8220;Make it Your Own&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1264 aligncenter\" title=\"make-it-your-own-crusade-no-31\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sweetbeadstudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/06\/make-it-your-own-crusade-no-31.jpg\" alt=\"make-it-your-own-crusade-no-31\" width=\"450\" height=\"177\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Wow, Michelle has an incredible concept and site.\u00a0 She has created &#8220;crusades&#8221; picking different challenges each month open to all, that spark inspiration and self-exploration.\u00a0 She is now on her <a href=\"http:\/\/michelleward.typepad.com\/how_cool_is_that\/2009\/05\/crusade-no-31-make-it-your-own.html\">31st Crusade, &#8220;Make it Your Own&#8221;.\u00a0 <\/a>\u00a0 In this challenge, she has asked the street team to put their own spin on an inspiration&#8230;.this could be anything from an illustration to a sewing project, whatever you are in to.\u00a0 By adding your own &#8220;hand&#8221;, you can express your individualism.\u00a0 This challenge really caught my attention as I was just about to work on a project by <em><a href=\"http:\/\/gaeabeads.blogspot.com\/\">Gaea Cannaday<\/a> <\/em>featured on the cover of the latest issue of <span style=\"color: #888888;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Step by Step Wire<\/span><\/span><\/span>.\u00a0\u00a0 Gaea usedher beautiful ceramic beads in a stamped and wirework necklace.<\/p>\n<p>In my necklace, Create, I&#8217;ve used lampwork beads by <a href=\"http:\/\/moonstumpp.blogspot.com\/\">Moon Stumpp <\/a>\u00a0(that have a <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">great <\/span>color combination) and paired them with copper wire.\u00a0 To add my spin to this project, I&#8217;ve added a coiled wire bail.\u00a0 I love the look of coiled wire and add in to a project whenever I can.\u00a0 I then made my own long wrapped links and hook clasp to finish the necklace.\u00a0 The finishing touch&#8230;liver of sulphur.\u00a0 I can&#8217;t resist giving everything an aged patina.\u00a0 This piece was then polished with steel wool and tumbled for a nice polish.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1265 aligncenter\" title=\"create\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sweetbeadstudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/06\/create.jpg\" alt=\"create\" width=\"435\" height=\"435\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1266 aligncenter\" title=\"create3\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sweetbeadstudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/06\/create3.jpg\" alt=\"create3\" width=\"430\" height=\"430\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1267 aligncenter\" title=\"create4\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sweetbeadstudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/06\/create4.jpg\" alt=\"create4\" width=\"430\" height=\"430\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">I&#8217;m looking forward to future challenges and joining inwith\u00a0the Green Pepper Press Street Team! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>That&#8217;s sure an attention-getter for a name!\u00a0 I was recently introduced to Michelle Ward&#8217;s site and art challenges in some of my favorite blogs.\u00a0\u00a0 While visiting Something Sublime and Rosa &amp; Josie&#8217;s, I enjoyed their posts about GPP&#8217;s latest Crusade entitled, &#8220;Make it Your Own&#8221;.
