wrap up"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Monday, Monday.\u00a0\u00a0 How did it roll around so fast?\u00a0 I hope you enjoyed beautiful weather the way we did here in Virginia.\u00a0\u00a0 With such great weather, we decided to see what we could do outdoors.\u00a0 After lacrosse practice, we drove to DC to stroll around the museums.\u00a0 This is probably my husband&#8217;s #1 suggestion to the &#8220;what should we do today?&#8221; question.<\/p>\n<p>My 5 year old son has started a little arrowhead collection, so we headed to the <a href=\"http:\/\/americanindian.si.edu\/dc\/files\/NMAI_bro_Eng.pdf\">National Museum of the American Indian<\/a>.\u00a0 Great consideration was taken when constructing this fairly new museum.\u00a0\u00a0 The Kasota stone building was created by Native American designers and architects, and faces the dome of the Capitol building.\u00a0 We viewed many examples of beads, arrow heads and peace medals.\u00a0 Afterward we visited the ever-popular National Air and Space Museum&#8230;a little boy&#8217;s dream destination.\u00a0 It&#8217;s always interesting to learn more about the birthday this weekend too.\u00a0 He doesn&#8217;t like a lot of attention and a big fuss.\u00a0 And what do you give to someone who insists that he doesn&#8217;t need anything?\u00a0 Knowing how much he adores his favorite friend I made a little collage on canvas.\u00a0 Collage is really new to me (other than a few elementary school memories), so therefore you&#8217;ll see my newbie attempt.\u00a0
