latest craze"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I have a feeling many of you are just like me&#8230;.there&#8217;s always something new calling your name. \u00a0 Etching?\u00a0 Enameling?\u00a0 Soldering?\u00a0 Okay, I know many of you can do all three.\u00a0 The thing that has caught my eye recently is the world of art journaling.\u00a0\u00a0 Papercrafting is actually new to me&#8230;so I have a lot to learn.\u00a0 Many of my blog land friends are mixed media artists, so there is a wealth of inspiration (and advice) out there.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1940\" title=\"maureens-stamped-package\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sweetbeadstudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/maureens-stamped-package.jpg\" techniques to use in papercrafts is stamping.\u00a0 Now I have my fair share of stamps, but what to do with them&#8230;that was the question.\u00a0 I remembered the beautifully stamped journal that my fellow Charmsters friend <a href=\"http:\/\/www.etsy.com\/shop.php?user_id=5632634\">Maureen<\/a> brought to Art and Soul to use as a class notebook.\u00a0 I emailed her to ask about what she used to journal&#8230;and she so kindly suggested sending me a sample.\u00a0 Look what I received in the mail the other day!\u00a0 I didn&#8217;t want to open the package, it was so pretty!\u00a0 And would you believe, none of the postage stamps ended up getting marked.\u00a0 Inside I found a wonderful book&#8230;ready for me to stamp away in.\u00a0 Just look at all of the beautiful techniques Maureen used for inspiration&#8230;and I bet this didn&#8217;t take her long to do either!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1941\" mortar stamp store just around the corner from my house.\u00a0 I stopped in <a href=\"http:\/\/ahappystamper.blogspot.com\">Angela&#8217;s Happy Stamper<\/a> shop today and entered a whole new underground world.\u00a0 There were ladies filling there baskets with stamps and talking about things that were foreign to me.\u00a0 I was out of place.\u00a0 Must be how a newbie feels when going in to a bead store for the first time.\u00a0\u00a0 I was amazed at the class calendar and hope to start at the beginning and take their intro. class next month.\u00a0 After all, who knows when to use pigment ink versus dye ink??\u00a0 Until then, I stocked up on some great back-issue magazines that\u00a0 were all marked down 50%&#8230;<em>Somerset Studio<\/em>, <em>Altered Art<\/em>, and
