Hello!<\/p>\n

Would\u00a0you agree that\u00a0 August just came out of no where?\u00a0 It seems like yesterday that I was over joyed with the first signs of spring… and somehow we are well into summer.\u00a0 It is\u00a0<\/em>still summer, and I am going to enjoy every single day of it if I can!\u00a0 This past week I was so happy to have my sister in law and my cute-as-a-button nephew here with us.\u00a0 We celebrated the little guy’s first birthday with the family tradition: Baskin Robbin’s\u00a0ice-cream cake!\u00a0 We packed in all kinds of activities this week with the kids: seeing Rocknoceros (a super cool kid’s band), a trip to the Reston Zoo (can you imagine going on a Safari ride and seeing zebra, monkeys and camel in the suburbs?), a trip to a 2-acre playground called Clemyjontri<\/a>, and a picnic in the shade in Historic Occoquan<\/a>.\u00a0 And it’s just Thursday!\u00a0<\/p>\n

In the midst of all the activity, I\u00a0did set aside some time to work on\u00a0a new\u00a0jewelry-related project.\u00a0 Although I did not post any new jewelry\u00a0 this week, I have been working on a new “creation” of sorts!\u00a0 I’ve been writing my first tutorial.\u00a0\u00a0 I will update you on this project in the near future!<\/p>\n

By the way, how do you like my new banner by Arianne\u00a0of \u00a0Aeolidia<\/a>?\u00a0 \u00a0She created a few banners for me with the completion of this website.\u00a0 At first I thought these animated varieties were a bit too, well, flashy.\u00a0 But they have grown on me and I just had to have one for my shop too!\u00a0 She did a fabulous job.\u00a0 I’ll check in with you next week.\u00a0 \u00a0 Have a great upcoming weekend!<\/p>\n
