Have you seen Beads 2010?\u00a0 This is the first time I purchased this publication….. I just couldn’t resist\u00a0checking out\u00a0all of the beautiful beads inside.\u00a0 What I found when I flipped through the covers was that 1) there are beautiful projects<\/em> inside too, and 2)\u00a0 I recognized most of the artists whose beads are featured.\u00a0 There is only a handful of beads created by artists I was not familiar with…..it is really becoming a small world.\u00a0 If you have beads or\u00a0a finished project in this issue, CONGRATS<\/strong> on being featured in this beautiful collection!<\/p>\n

I was happy to discover a new (to me) clay artist who makes really gorgeous pieces, especially floral pendants.\u00a0 The Classic Bead <\/a>has an Etsy shop full of such ceramic beads and pendants.<\/p>\n

Beads 2010 has an article featuring bead and jewelry storage ideas – and that’s where I spotted a wonderful wrought iron jewelry stand by Moxie Metal<\/a>.\u00a0 When I visited their Etsy shop, I found\u00a0they have a huge assortment\u00a0– all hand forged in California.\u00a0 This multi-tiered stand is one of my favorites.<\/p>\n

See these pretty little lampwork beads?\u00a0 No, they are not from the pages of Beads 2010, they were a surprise I received in the mail this week!\u00a0 I couldn’t resist showing off Lori’s<\/a> lampwork beads (hope you don’t mind, Lori!)….you would never know she only recently began her journey with creating glass beads.\u00a0 At this rate\u00a0we may see her work in Beads 2011! {update – oh my, just visited Lori’s blog and we featured the same exact ceramic focal!\u00a0 You know what they say…..great minds think alike!}<\/p>\n
