You may have noticed that I have a hard time sitting still.\u00a0 Or staying\u00a0 home.\u00a0 So the other day when the kids had an early dismissal from school, I thought it would be interesting to take a walkl in a new neighborhood (in other words, explore a little).\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I know I’ve been heading to Leesburg<\/a>\u00a0a lot lately, but why not when it is\u00a0less than 45 minutes away.\u00a0\u00a0Strolling\u00a0the sidewalks that line historic homes is much more interesting than the everyday sights here in\u00a0suburbia.<\/p>\n

I’m more of a picture-taking blog writer.\u00a0\u00a0Expressing myself in\u00a0words <\/em>is not my strength…..\u00a0so here we go again, a gazillion pictures.\u00a0 I figure that many of you are visiting from the far reaches of the U.S. and abroad, so maybe you’d like to see what we see here in Virginia.\u00a0 I know when\u00a0I visit your<\/em> blogs, I’m always intrigued by where you go and what you see locally.\u00a0 Its my way of traveling when I can’t.\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

I found a great little playground nestled in the historic downtown area, within a very old neighborhood.\u00a0 We took a walk and ended up at an old\u00a0landmark, the site of the Old Stone Church <\/a>and cemetery, dating back to the 1700s.\u00a0\u00a0 Now this is not your everyday stroll!\u00a0<\/p>\n

I’d love to return, next time turning a different direction on our walk and finding yet more\u00a0treasures from our past.\u00a0 There are so many new places to discover!<\/p>\n
