I saved these special postcards to share with you today.\u00a0\u00a0 As I looked through\u00a0a box of old postcards in an antiques shop last month, I noticed something on several that caught my eye.\u00a0 The postcards were exactly 100 years old<\/strong> – either stamped or handwritten with 1910. 1910!<\/strong>\u00a0 It had to be more than chance that I came upon these 100 years later.\u00a0 I really felt a sense of awe as I held them in my hands, examining the handwriting and sentiment.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0How incredible that they survived for one hundred years to be rediscovered and appreciated anew.\u00a0 Postage was just one cent back then!<\/p>\n

Thank you for all of your well-wishes on my last post.\u00a0 We’ve enjoyed the first week in our new home and know that celebrating our first Thanksgiving here will be a special one.\u00a0 I’ve already baked my first pie in the new oven (pumpkin!), and tonight my son baked yeast rolls from scratch – so the house is getting indoctrinated quickly.\u00a0 We have\u00a0so much\u00a0to be thankful for!\u00a0 Oh, and I’m starting to set up the studio.\u00a0\u00a0 My Dad doesn’t quite understand or appreciate the space and called it a “little shop of horrors” last night. \ud83d\ude42\u00a0 That did make me laugh.\u00a0 I guess a room dedicated to beads and tools would seem strange if you don’t get<\/em> it.<\/p>\n
