{"id":4847,"date":"2010-12-03T03:51:53","date_gmt":"2010-12-03T07:51:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.sweetbeadstudio.com\/?p=4847"},"modified":"2010-12-04T13:42:52","modified_gmt":"2010-12-04T17:42:52","slug":"the-challenge-of-color-blog-hop","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.sweetbeadstudio.com\/?p=4847","title":{"rendered":"The Challenge of Color Blog Hop"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Welcome to my corner of the &#8220;Inspired By&#8230;..The Challenge of Color&#8221; blog hop!\u00a0 When Erin of<em>\u00a0Treasures Found::Inspiration is Everywhere <\/em>put out a call for a color challenge\/blog hop, I decided to join in!\u00a0 If you know Erin, you&#8217;ll know she inspires us in blogland\u00a0in so many ways with her thoughtful posts and encouraging words.\u00a0 Today her latest {and wonderful} idea comes to life, as many jewelry designers will share their new designs on their blogs &#8211; all around the globe!\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/treasures-found.blogspot.com\/2010\/12\/challenge-of-color-blog-hop-today.html\">The Challenge of Color <\/a>&#8220;rules&#8221;, as described by Erin:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;\">\n<li><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Select a color palette to be inspired by. This could be something you were comfortable in, something that was a challenge or a complete surprise.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: small;\">I then sent a paint chip color palette to each participant (my apologies if you did get a duplicate &#8211; but I am sure that even if we all had the same palette our pieces would all be very different).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Create a piece of jewelry that uses the color from the paint chip palette. Try to use all the colors! Feel free to add or subtract a color. The goal is to use color and have fun!<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Use of art beads is encouraged!<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Name the piece of jewelry from something on the paint chip palette.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Have fun! Be inspired! <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div id=\"attachment_4848\" style=\"width: 185px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-4848\" href=\"http:\/\/www.sweetbeadstudio.com\/?attachment_id=4848\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-4848\" class=\"size-full wp-image-4848\" title=\"inspired-by_cranberry-whip\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sweetbeadstudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/inspired-by_cranberry-whip.jpg\" alt=\"Cranberry Whip\" width=\"175\" height=\"175\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.sweetbeadstudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/inspired-by_cranberry-whip.jpg 175w, http:\/\/www.sweetbeadstudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/inspired-by_cranberry-whip-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 175px) 100vw, 175px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-4848\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Cranberry Whip<\/p><\/div>\n<p>So I&#8217;ll admit I did not opt for the &#8220;complete surprise&#8221; option.\u00a0 With such little time to create jewelry nowadays, I knew I wanted to use what time I had creating with a color that I love (but that I did not work with often).\u00a0 I asked for a color in the burgundy color family&#8230;.and recieved a paint palette with burgundy, silver, and chocolate brown.\u00a0 Unfortunately in my recent move I, er, lost my paint chip card.\u00a0 I found it then lost it.\u00a0 &#8220;Cranberry Whip&#8221; is a stand-in for the color I received. \ud83d\ude42\u00a0 This deep, rich color is perfect for the holidays and wintertime.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-4849\" href=\"http:\/\/www.sweetbeadstudio.com\/?attachment_id=4849\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-4849 aligncenter\" title=\"inspired-by_cranberrypalace\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sweetbeadstudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/inspired-by_cranberrypalace.jpg\" alt=\"inspired-by_cranberrypalace\" width=\"500\" height=\"500\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.sweetbeadstudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/inspired-by_cranberrypalace.jpg 500w, http:\/\/www.sweetbeadstudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/inspired-by_cranberrypalace-150x150.jpg 150w, http:\/\/www.sweetbeadstudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/inspired-by_cranberrypalace-300x300.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In &#8220;Cranberry Palace&#8221;, I kept two of the inspirational colors:\u00a0 cranberry\/burgundy and the silver.\u00a0 I&#8217;ve been in a vintage bling kind of mood lately, so I selected my focal first.\u00a0 What to pair with a vintage rhinestone pin?\u00a0 The pin called for something classic so I played around with a few shades of Swarovski pearls, but then decided on these natural pearls.
