\u00a0This will be my 3rd round in the Bead Soup Blog Party, and I was really psyched to be be paired with <a href=\"http:\/\/rikijewelry.blogspot.com\/\">Riki Schumacher<\/a> of Riki Jewelry. \u00a0I have been an online friend and a huge fan of Riki for some time now, so this was a real treat for me. \u00a0When you visit Riki&#8217;s blog, you&#8217;ll see her tagline right there in her beautiful blog banner: \u00a0<em>romantic relics<\/em>. \u00a0I had that idea in mind when I selected the components for Riki.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7058\" title=\"Optimized-BeadSoup_forRiki_FocalandClasp\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sweetbeadstudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/Optimized-BeadSoup_forRiki_FocalandClasp.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"428\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.sweetbeadstudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/Optimized-BeadSoup_forRiki_FocalandClasp.jpg 500w, http:\/\/www.sweetbeadstudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/Optimized-BeadSoup_forRiki_FocalandClasp-150x128.jpg 150w, http:\/\/www.sweetbeadstudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/Optimized-BeadSoup_forRiki_FocalandClasp-300x256.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>While on our recent trip to Maine, we stopped in a few antique stores around Kennebunkport. \u00a0That&#8217;s where I found this gorgeous 1940&#8217;s\/1950&#8217;s brass and rhinestone brooch. \u00a0Not your typical bead focal, but one that I just knew Riki could certainly work her magic with.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7059\" title=\"BeadSoup_forRiki_ChainandLeaves\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sweetbeadstudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/BeadSoup_forRiki_ChainandLeaves.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"515\" height=\"615\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.sweetbeadstudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/BeadSoup_forRiki_ChainandLeaves.jpg 515w, http:\/\/www.sweetbeadstudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/BeadSoup_forRiki_ChainandLeaves-150x179.jpg 150w, http:\/\/www.sweetbeadstudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/BeadSoup_forRiki_ChainandLeaves-251x300.jpg 251w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 515px) 100vw, 515px\" \/><br \/>\nI found these vintage metal leaves at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.beadinpath.com\/\">Beadin&#8217; Path <\/a>up in Portland, ME. \u00a0The leaves seemed to go so well with the old brooch. \u00a0I added a mix of vintage chain too.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7061\" title=\"Optimized-BeadSoup_forRiki_vintagerhinestones\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sweetbeadstudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/Optimized-BeadSoup_forRiki_vintagerhinestones1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"515\" height=\"429\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.sweetbeadstudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/Optimized-BeadSoup_forRiki_vintagerhinestones1.jpg 515w, http:\/\/www.sweetbeadstudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/Optimized-BeadSoup_forRiki_vintagerhinestones1-150x124.jpg 150w, http:\/\/www.sweetbeadstudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/Optimized-BeadSoup_forRiki_vintagerhinestones1-300x249.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 515px) 100vw, 515px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Not your ordinary <em>bead<\/em> mix&#8230;. \u00a0I chose a pair of vintage mixed metal earrings and rhinestone dangles to add to the soup. \u00a0Riki incorporates many beautiful old pieces in her work. \u00a0I figured that although my bead soup components may be like an old friend for her, the challenge would really be in the fact that the soup is <em>not<\/em> a mix of beads at all, but one-of-a-kind treasures from the past.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7074\" title=\"BeadSoup_MixforRiki2\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sweetbeadstudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/BeadSoup_MixforRiki21.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"515\" height=\"610\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.sweetbeadstudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/BeadSoup_MixforRiki21.jpg 515w, http:\/\/www.sweetbeadstudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/BeadSoup_MixforRiki21-150x177.jpg 150w, http:\/\/www.sweetbeadstudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/BeadSoup_MixforRiki21-253x300.jpg 253w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 515px) 100vw, 515px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Would you like to see the amazing bead soup that Riki sent to me?
