{"id":745,"date":"2009-03-15T20:09:00","date_gmt":"2009-03-16T03:09:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.sweetbeadstudio.com\/?p=745"},"modified":"2009-03-15T20:09:00","modified_gmt":"2009-03-16T03:09:00","slug":"signs-of-a-great-weekend","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.sweetbeadstudio.com\/?p=745","title":{"rendered":"Signs of a great weekend"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Hi friends!<\/p>\n<p>Last weekend we headed south to Fredericksburg, this weekend we headed north to Frederick. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>We took a walking\/eating tour of the historic downtown area.\u00a0\u00a0 We didn&#8217;t plan for it to be that way, but there were some yummy stops and we were hungry.\u00a0 We used to come here antiquing when the kids were toddlers quite often.\u00a0 We even bought a spur of the moment back-pack style baby\u00a0carrier up here years ago to accommodate our little excursion.\u00a0 So being here with Nathaniel for the first time brought back memories.<\/p>\n<p>We started out in the &#8220;Shabby Row&#8221; district of Frederick and right smack in front of us was this shop.\u00a0 Who could resist a stop for Fudge (gosh, did we just do that last weekend?).\u00a0 As you may recall, I am an official <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sweetbeadstudio.com\/?p=244\">fudge taste-tester<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sweetbeadstudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/frederick-fudge.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-746 aligncenter\" title=\"frederick-fudge\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sweetbeadstudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/frederick-fudge.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"425\" height=\"314\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>After stopping in a couple of antique malls, it was time for lunch.\u00a0 We stopped here and enjoyed some scrumptious cheese bread.\u00a0 They sell them in mini loaves.\u00a0 Next time everyone is going to have to get their OWN!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sweetbeadstudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/frederick-bakery.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-747 aligncenter\" title=\"frederick-bakery\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sweetbeadstudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/frederick-bakery.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"425\" height=\"346\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Since there was a little chill in the air, why not stop for cocoa?\u00a0 We sure picked the right place.\u00a0 The hot cocoa from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theperfecttruffle.com\/about.html\">The Perfect Truffle <\/a>was actually Belgian chocolate that they melted right from the pan and boy was it sinfully rich.\u00a0 Check out their link, it even shows a little video.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sweetbeadstudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/frederick-cocoa.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-749 aligncenter\" title=\"frederick-cocoa\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sweetbeadstudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/frederick-cocoa.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"425\" height=\"252\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Isn&#8217;t this a nice shot, with the church steeple peeking out from behind&#8230;what, another ANTIQUE shop!\u00a0 Oh we had to stop there.\u00a0 It&#8217;s the infamous Great Stuff by Paul.\u00a0 Everyone knows about this place.\u00a0\u00a0 Who knows what you&#8217;ll find in here&#8230;.goat carts, enamel pitchers, old school desks and stained glass windows from England.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sweetbeadstudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/good-stuff-by-paul.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-750   aligncenter\" title=\"good-stuff-by-paul\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sweetbeadstudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/good-stuff-by-paul.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"430\" height=\"545\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sweetbeadstudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/great-stuff-by-paul.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-751 aligncenter\" title=\"great-stuff-by-paul\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sweetbeadstudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/great-stuff-by-paul.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"425\" height=\"375\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sweetbeadstudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/stained-glass-windows.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-752 aligncenter\" title=\"stained-glass-windows\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sweetbeadstudio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/stained-glass-windows.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"425\" height=\"319\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>My favorite stop was a place called Emporium Antiques where I found a great vintage dress form(note, I say &#8220;found&#8221;, not <em>purchased <\/em>!).\u00a0\u00a0 I&#8217;ll save that vintage dress form discussion for another day though.<\/p>\n<p>Hope you enjoyed the pictures\u00a0from our day trip.\u00a0 \u00a0 Have a great week ahead! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hi friends!
