If you’re stopping by to see what I’ve been up to, I’ll show you with a few pictures!\u00a0 It was a great weekend, busy from start to finish.\u00a0 On Friday night the older boys had their Boy Scouts Blue and Gold banquet.\u00a0 A bunch of fired up boys…lots of fun.\u00a0 There was a little draw back that evening though…when we attempted to go home at 9 p.m., we found our van door would\u00a0 not open which required poor Randy to work on it out in the rain for an hour.\u00a0 After buying a wire cutter, he fixed the problem.\u00a0 No more automatic door though…it’s manual<\/em> until we get it fixed!\u00a0<\/p>\n

On Saturday I enjoyed a girls-only event.\u00a0 One of my best friends from high school is getting married this Spring, and it was bridal shower time!\u00a0 Other than my little guy in tow, it was a nice afternoon of ladies only.\u00a0 There was a delicious vegetable lasagna and yummy fruit punch.\u00a0 Nothing like good old fashioned shower games, housewares and a little lingerie mixed in.\u00a0 Check out the great\u00a0 big ribbon and bow bouquet made from all of the shower gifts!<\/p>\n

On Sunday I had a nice afternoon out with my 6 year old son.\u00a0 He loves to come along to antique and craft shows.\u00a0 It may seem unusual for a little boy to enjoy these kinds of things, but he sure was a great companion for the afternoon.\u00a0 While at the Craftsmen’s Classic Arts and Crafts Festival, I enjoyed meeting a few jewelry designers, photographers and glass artists.\u00a0 I love how people enjoy sharing what they do.\u00a0 The highlight was visiting Lori Anderson’s <\/a>booth…she has such beautiful jewelry (especially her chainmaille bracelets!).\u00a0 It’s great to visit with her from time to time as she lives on the Eastern Shore.\u00a0 It was her birthday and she wore the cutest b-day tiara.<\/p>\n

I found a colorful aluminum wire necklace at the show that I thought would be great to wear this spring and summer.\u00a0 The necklace was made by Kazuko Fuller from Chesapeake, VA.\u00a0 Unfortunately she doesn’t have a website.<\/p>\n

I also picked up some Easter gifts made by a husband and wife team.\u00a0 The husband cuts out each of the wooden shapes and the wife does all of the painting.\u00a0 How’s that for teamwork?<\/p>\n

And saving the best for last, today is my husband’s BIRTHDAY!\u00a0 Happy Birthday, Randy!!<\/strong>\u00a0 He’s going to enjoy the morning off from work on a field trip with a busload of first graders…heading off to see an exhibit on the Voices of Africa.\u00a0 And tonight we’re going to break a little bit from tradition and have a different kind of cake (can’t spoil it in case he reads this!).<\/p>\n
