A day in pictures

by Cindy on May 7, 2009

This week has just flown by!   You know how some weeks just feel much more crazy/stressful/jam-packed than others?  This was one of those around here.  My husband has been working until midnight every night for four days straight, which is not the norm.  BUT, you can imagine how that translates here at home – !

Today things slowed down a teeny bit and throughout all of the running around, I enjoyed some really nice moments.  I took the baby to Picture People (I was again reminded as to why I have avoided going there for over a year) to have his 6 month picture taken.  I really think I can take better pictures at home, in a more natural environment.  However, I’ve had all of the other boys pictures taken at 3,6,9,12 months, etc and was feeling guilty that I (gulp) missed his 3 month portrait.  Since he’s turning 7 months old next week, I was going to go in and get that 6 month picture taken no matter what!  Things didn’t go too well….I think that stranger anxiety thing has started already.  Next week I’ll go back and see if any pictures from today turned out.

This here’s a picture taken of my 4 year old in front of our property where we hope to build later in the year.  I just had to capture the home in all of it’s Spring glory with 4 different colored Azalea bushes.  It does make me sad to think this will be its last year in existence.  Next year there will be an entirely different house here.

Later in the afternoon I had a little picture-taking session going on at my parent’s house.  I just had to have some fun with my own camera after the forced picture taking event this morning.  I could never get a smile like you see in the last one here,  that’s for sure.  Oh the things I put the little guys through!  I know it’s for myself, but you can never have too many baby pictures, right?

Tomorrow concludes Teacher Appreciation week at the preschool.  I didn’t bring in anything all week out of lack of planning, but today I tried to make up for it.  I brought the teachers some lemon bars from Cake Love.  Tomorrow I’ll bring in my own cupcakes and a couple surprises…you might have guessed, jewelry.  After all, my son’s preschool teachers are truly inspiring. 🙂

Cindy, You are amazing! Can’t wait to see those photos but yours are wonderful! Great smiles from little Nathaniel! Is he really 7 months old already?? As you know time flies and as you get older ( a natural result of living) time goes even faster! Savour the moments–and save as many in photos as you can because you will forget the details! Love and prayers and please keep writing! Madeline
