Summer at last!

Summer break has officially started here! The school year ended this week. Do you remember that wonderful feeling at the start of summer? Good times are ahead. I love this time of year. And as much as we love ice cream around here, we’ve already visited our local Friendly’s and Dairy Queen. Of course Baskin Robbins will surely be a destination too. 🙂

Summer is…….

Summer is going to the beach and diving into blue waters.
Swallows dart and jet through skies.
Summer brightens up my day.
Children’s mouths wide open, as ice cream melts.
Grasshoppers jump all day long.
Children scream and shout how wonderful
Until summer slides away from me.

Amidst all the excitement of the last week of school, I’ve been busy here at sweet bead studio with a necklace and bracelet commission. It really is fun creating with wire. I especially love the part when all of the wire links are created and I lay out all of the components to create the final design. Like a puzzle, I change pieces here and there until it is just right. You can see the new wire necklace in the Gallery. In the next day or two I will also post a few new necklaces in the Shop….and as you may have already noticed, I just love the color blue. Yes, I will be working with other colors in the rainbow very soon.
