Good Morning friends (beady friends or not!)
This weekend went by way too fast! So much jammed in to just two short days. Speaking of a short period of time, I made it to the International Gem and Jewelry show in one hour flat. Hard to believe, but I only spent one hour there because that was all the time I had (in between a birthday party and picking up the dogs from the groomers)! In that short hour I managed to spend a few minutes with a friend and find some beautiful new Thai silver beads.
I met up with Lori Anderson, of Bead Soup Party fame. We’ve met at this show several times before, in fact, this is where we met in person for the first time a few years ago. I’d say an hour with a beady friend and quickly looking for beads is an hour well spent!
While mentioning Lori, I can’t resist showing you a special gift I received in the mail this past week. Lori was so sweet to send me a surprise – a beautiful necklace (love her fused wire bail!) that showcases a lampwork bead by Sarah Moran of z-beads. Oh I had never seen a z-bead before and it is just gorgeous!! Thank you, Lori!!!
I hope you are all off on the start of a GREAT week. Thanks for stopping by!

Now that is what I call dedication – having just one hour at the bead show and still using it!! Lovely pendant Lori sent you!
Wish I could spend an hour with you some time…
Have a wonderful day – I mean, good night – sweet dreams.
Hi Cindy….my goodness…your time management skills are superb!! What a beautiful gift to have received….you have some wonderful friends! xx
I could never do a bead show in an hour….you are really disciplined! Can’t wait to see what you make!! Love the necklace Lore gave you….great colors and design!

One hour? You girls are good! haaaaaaaa I just discovered Sarah Moran’s z-beads…aren’t they fantastic?! I love the wire work with it!
you have been trained well by your kids – moms can optimize time (their time) for sure! glad you had fun… cool necklace, i had not heard of z-beads, so thanks!
I have never seen a z-beads in person, but I do follow her blog. That is really stunning. I love meeting beady friends…and you would be surprised how much shopping could be done in an hour! So glad that you made it there, even if you time was short.
Thanks for sharing!
Enjoy the day!

I am utterly AMAZED that you were able to get in and out of there in an hour! I probably would have abandoned my kids & dog & stayed the rest of the day (lol)!
🙂 Molly
Beautiful necklace!!! I could never go to a bead show & only spend 1 hr there! WOW…usually I am too busy talking with everyone which is quite fun as well!
Yep….sounds like me! One hour flat, no if, and, or buts~I can do it. I must admit it isn’t easy, but I have my list and know where my favorite vendors are located. That is the ONLY way I can do it =)
Beautiful fused bail…Gorgeous!!
You are a trooper! Bet you had a canteen and compass while scouting out the best beads!
Sarah Moran beads are amazing! I have a few.I make pendants with her beads too because they are LARGE….Very sweet gift from Lori.

oh wow! I’m a little embarrassed since that’s my first attempt at fusing those wires together but I’m glad you liked it! And I saw your hubby on the way out the door — was good to meet him, too!
I haven’t had a chance to play with all I got from the show yet, can you believe it?
Wow, that IS a extra special and not to mention downright gorgeous surprise-I’m jealous over here 🙂
The weekend did go by way to fast and from the sounds of it, you were quite busy!!
Hope this week treats you well 😀
I’ll admit one hour was NOT enough time…. I didn’t get the stones that I really wanted, afterall, you really need to examine those. But HillTribe is so easy to pick up since its so beautiful. The limited about of time helped limit spending, that’s for sure!
Wow! Love that bead.
Wow! A woman on a mission, not nearly enough time to really enjoy yourself…but at least you were able to go for that hour. What a lovely surprise from Lori, I really love the colors of the bead and on that ribbon…sweet!
Oh wow, one hour at a bead show, hmmmm. I might be able to cut it down to three hours!!! LOL. good for you Cindy. And thank you so much for the nice comment. I love your idea about offering some things that don’t sell at vendor night. It might be the encouragement I need to get my Etsy shop launched! I have been such a lazy girl about that. Like I’ve had nothing else to do. Love the beautiful necklace you received. Isn’t is wonderful to get a little gift in the mail, like Christmas all over again, only something you really love! and the wired bracelet is fabulous too. Take care Cindy, wish you could be at Adorn Me too. Riki
Hi Cindy,
A bead show in an hour! I can’t imagine! It must have been a whirl wind of beads and silver!
Thanks for becoming a fan of my FB Fan page. You truly are an inspiration to me and I admire not only your work but your time management skills! Hopefully, I will have a few new thing listed on the blog and etsy! I got a little behind (wick head cold hit me), but I should have enough time this weekend, because starting tonight the snow is suppose to start falling and from what the maps are showing we are in for 1 to 2 feet of snow! Have a lovely weekend! Talk to you soon!
Sarah’s beads rock!! Have followed her for several years and am a proud owner of her bead strands. I consider her work in the top tier of lampworkers.
Lori did a great job showcasing your lucky bead!
Hm, an hour looking at beautiful gems with an old friend. That sounds like my kind of day. Too bad it was cut short but at least you got a chance to go. Love that necklace from Lori and her packaging is made to match. How cool!
