Hello friends
I hope your week is off to a great start. Today flew by and I have a sneaky feeling the rest of the week will be the same. The days ’til ArtBLISS are numbered and there are many final details to tend to. There have been some last minute registrations which are wonderful to see! It’s not too late to join us, just visit the site and hit “Register Now!” 🙂
I mentioned in my last blog post that I would be meeting with my girlfriend Lori for our own little bead retreat weekend. What a great 24 hours…. it is wonderful to have a friend who understands me and I understand her. Just perfect. And when you throw in lots of bead talk over lunch, dinner and breakfast, can it get any better? We’re hoping to do it again soon. There are many of you that I hope to meet one day as well!
With a few spare moments here, and a few there, I managed to finally finish up this jingly-jangly bracelet. That’s what I love when working with wire – you can start your project one day, and finish it a week later. That’s my kind of pace with 4 kids and having to drive to 2 schools in another city…no long solo sessions in a studio for me. For this bracelet, I soldered some lumpy sterling silver links (using my favorite Stephanie Lee method), and added a wonderful lampwork focal and ceramic beads by Gaea.
Available in my poor little neglected Etsy shop! One day I will fill it up again!
Thanks for stopping by!!!

Cindy, your bracelet is beautiful! I haven’t been brave enough to go beyond copper for the ‘soldered links’ from Stephanie’s class. Your’s are perfect!
I hear you about starting a project (especially with wire) and finishing it later. Sometimes this ‘absence’ from the piece allows me to see more clearly where it is headed. Sometimes not.
Sounds like you and Lori had a great bead date. Fun!
Ahhh…a relaxing “beady” weekend, I know it was fun! Can’t wait until my own beady weekend…ArtBliss. The bracelet is lovely, the links look great!
Love this bracelet Cindy! Love the beads, and your lumpy silver links the best!
So glad you got to spend some time with Lori!
How I do wish I could be there for Art Bliss. But I’ll be doing my own little (maybe huge) wedding bliss dance this weekend.
I love, LOVE that wire wrapping on that bead. So clever. Can I borrow that technique sometime? And soldering links? oooo la la! That is something I hope to one day learn how to do. You have such a sense about you Cindy. And you keep dangling Art Bliss in front of me. If I only had the time….
Enjoy the day!
Erin

The links in the bracelet are really cool and I love how they are different sizes. The colors are perfect for autumn. So many great beads and stones combined together. Fabulous!

Cindy – Love the bracelet. I’m thinking of taking Stephanie’s next class.
And I see you and Lori are wearing your ‘special’ necklaces. Bet she loved it.

The soldered links are one of my favorites that Stephanie taught. I was so glad to have you as a classmate and looks like we will be again! YAY! 🙂
