Over the weekend, Lori Anderson posted an engaging and informative free eCourse for bloggers!  Have you seen it? Lori shares great tips and thought-provoking ideas for experienced and newbie bloggers alike.   I found the comments left by fellow bloggers particularly interesting too.  Do you want to hear what readers love and dislike when reading a blog?  Stop in and be sure to read the comments too!

It was a whirlwind weekend…busy from start to finish.  There were important milestones…such as losing a front tooth!  Time for those big-gap smiles!  Then there were birthdays…. we celebrated not only my Dad’s birthday yesterday, but also this very son’s tennis party that was postponed due to rain the weekend before.  This time we were blessed with perfect weather.  My husband made the coolest tennis balls to decorate the cake…made from rice krispy treats and fondant, would you believe!

I finished the weekend working late on an exciting and unexpected deadline….I usually work best in those circumstances.  With a tight deadline, I can get anything done!  Well, almost anything…. the one thing that has to give is sleep.  And now I think another cup of coffee is in order….  Oh, can you tell what I took all the photos on…?

Wow, what a busy weekend for you! The birthday cake is amazing. I was never very good at decorating cakes, but my kids thought I was the best (that was when they were much younger).

As to your question about what’s up this week…I’m getting ready to show my jewelry at a two-day event where over 10,000 people are expected. Unfortunatly there are usually about 30 jewelry vendors there, plus loads of other venders for people to spend their money on. This is my third year, and time for me to evaluate money earned vs. money, time and effort spent.

I’m headed over now to checkout Lori’s ecourse on blogging. Heaven knows I could use a few pointers.

Enjoy your week!

I’ve been a terrible blogger lately…I haven’t had much of interest to say and certainly no pictures of jewelry to show. Blah. BUT! This week, I have been getting completely organized for my BIG weekend….ArtBliss, and THEN my first *real* art/craft show. So excited for both!!

Cindy, what a cute picture of Chandler with his tooth! At first I thought he was holding a bead!! I love how you are still rejoicing about the first lost tooth even though it’s the 3rd child. It’s HIS first tooth lost! A big day! My plans for this week include changing my “daycare” day to Wednesday because there are so many babies that day and then flying on thursday to Baltimore for “family week end” with Carrie at Salisbury University. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone and hopefully enjoying some warm weather. It really feels like Autumn here and the trees are changing colors which is beautiful but I hate to see summer end. Thanks for sharing and especially for the pictures. Love, Madeline

Today I have to put a 32 week plan into action and pen to paper. (Or fingers to keyboard). This is for my Working Artist Initiative group that just started. I am excited to do this, and work with the variety of artists in their chosen mediums, but I am a bit daunted by the task of setting such goals for myself. 32 weeks! I have an idea, but I might need some feedback on fleshing it out. I might have to pick your brain, Miss Cindy. (Even if it is hopped up on caffeine 😉

Love your pictures! Such fun!

Enjoy the day!

This week I have seen my son leave yesterday for his first trip to Alaska for his new job, my daughter started nursing school and today my husband and I celebrate our 30th anniversary. Add to that getting ready for ArtBliss and making leaf charms! A full good week indeed!
