We celebrated our anniversary on Friday and spent the day some place wonderful. Where do you go when the kids are in school and you can’t go too far away? Luckily for us, there’s Leesburg right around the corner. I know I’ve mentioned Leesburg many, many times. A stop at Lucketts and On a Whim were on the agenda (as well as Mom’s Apple Pie, of course).
While walking through Lucketts, I couldn’t help but notice the many spectacular chandeliers as I walked from room to room. Good thing I had my faithful companion (this time I mean my camera, not my little guy). Remember my recent post on looking up and seeing something new? This time I found many gorgeous chandeliers, hanging from the old wood ceilings. There were crystals and enameled flowers, and a few incredible one-of-a-kind chandeliers too.
Which one is your favorite? I think mine would be #1 or #3. Hmmm…. I would love to find a petite chandelier for my studio. Guess that’s one more reason to keep on antiquing! There’s always a quest for the latest thing that we can’t live without! 🙂
Have a nice week & thanks for stopping by!

We have a small town movie theater that has the most wonderful chandeliers–I just sat and stared at them when we went–oh back in the day they knew how to decorate…give me all the glass ones!
A chandelier in ones workshop wouldnt that be spiffing!
Nothing like the feel of a room an atmosphere to inspire.
I believe Miss Cindy I like # 3!
Oh I love the old flowered ones! Someday I will get one for my own! Really girly girl : )
Happy Monday!!!!
WOW!! those are spectacular!!! i agree, you must find one for the studio.
You always find the coolest stuff! I’m going to have to drive to Lucketts one weekend soon 🙂
#1 would be my pick, but am most intriqued by #6 !
You really do have a knack for scoring great items…I think #1 is my pick too….
Happy Anniversary Cindy!!!! I LOVE all of the hanging lamps, I think my favs are the 1st & the last…but they are all amazing!
Thanks for sharing your special day with us…
Smiles,
Susie
GORGEOUS photos. One of these days, we have to take that trip together.
#6. . .did we miss each other at Design House? Love that place! And I did a full tour of Lucketts! I have a bag full of stuff! and I bought the test tube flower holder. . .Now, all I need is Spring!
I love vintage chandeliers! I have been looking for one for my bathroom. My favorite is #6, such a great idea using the antique papers.
Sounds like a fun day. Gorgeous chandeliers. I am enjoying your clasp tutorial and practicing, practicing. I think I finally have it. Thanks again for doing that.
Definitely #1, the faces in the metalwork is what got me, and Happy Anniversary!
A petite PINK chandelier would be perfect!
You find the BEST places and your photos are great. I love chandelier #1 but I find the paper one very appealing in a different way!
May I ask you what sort of camera you use Cindy? I am looking around at many choices at the moment. Your photos are always very crisp and appealing.

Oh so lovely! I don’t think I could choose a favorite. Funny that the first thing I thought of while scrolling down was how difficult these would be to dust. I think of this often as we live on the corner of two gravel roads.
Glad you had a good time on your anniversary getaway!
i had a petite chandelier in my office/studio in my old house in CA; i thought it was quite nice. one of the things that made my space enjoyable to me.
Happy Belated Anniversary! The chandeliers are beautiful, but I’d have to say the last one is my favorite.
Happy Anniversary – and many happy returns!
I would have to say No. 5 and 6 are totally intriguing to me…
HAPPY HAPPY ANNIVERSARY How sweet to spend a day just being together doing what you both love to do. Be blessed
I’ve always loved the look of a good antique chandelier! Those are all completely gorgeous 🙂 I think my favorite are #1 and #5!
And of course Happy Anniversary!!
I think it’s really interesting that 2 of those are the result of somebody crafty doing something they must have really loved doing — the one w/ the fabric and the one with the book pages. Not my cup of tea but really interesting and very cool to see how people do crafts in their own way in their own time. Thanks for the visual tour (again), Cindy.
Great pics. We went to a great antique show once in Leesburg that was fun – I think it was in the spring. I love chandeliers and my house really doesn’t lend itself to one so I got a small antique one and put it in this huge closet we have!! My husband laughed but I smile everytime I go in there!!
Oh my favorite has to be that funky tiered looking skirt thing!
It’s just so different 🙂
They are all so neat, Thanks to my grandma she gave me all her old chandeliers, she would go to auctions and antique stores.. I have to many and not enough ceiling to hang them all, but I love them all. Lynn
Oh, how I miss Lucketts, VA It’s a step back in time and right outside of Leesburg. I agree with you that #1 is beautiful. However, my imagination immediately went to work designing pendants. Is that wrong?
I agree with your choice. Those look spectacular.
They would look awesome in an entryway, too.
My first thought, too, was all those crystals in jewelry designs!
I love them all but I think that #5 and #6 are my favorite.
Cindy, I can’t believe how big your little guy is getting!
Have a great week!
Jaw dropping!!And you want me to choose….Oooh this is tough!!..OKOK #1,#6,and #9..YES..I tHINK!Oh gosh I think they are all magnificent!! Happy Belated Anniversary! Hugs,Cat
Happy Belated Anniversary Lit’l Mama!!!!
Oh I have to completely agree with Renate! 5&6 are truly awesome. And boy am I real pushover when it comes to chandeliers. of course I have been known to create a few of my own on occasion! 😉 LW will hang a most unusual lantern/chandelier in my almost finished Girly Girl Room tomorrow. Pictures soon for a blog posting.
