Low key and not complaining

by Cindy on February 16, 2009

Hi everyone!

Thanks for stopping by.

Low key…that’s the kind of day I had.  With the holiday today I had no where I had to rush off to…so rare and wonderful.  Two of the boys were off skiing with their Grandparents in WV, so I was down to just 2 at home.   Why not bake chocolate chip cookies?  I think that idea came from seeing a photo of the giant heart-shaped Valentine’s cookie my sister in law baked.  My 6 year old was willing to take a break from his Legos Power Miners rock-crystal thingamajig to help me.  It may seem like I bake a lot, but I haven’t made cookies in a while.

I grabbed a ball of steel wool later and polished up some jewelry that I recently oxidized.  After a spin in the tumbler, I took pictures of the latest outside.  It’s back to the cold weather around here so I had to bundle up in my coat to take these shots.  These earrings might as well be a study in wire swirls.  I really didn’t realize I had a theme going as I was making them…I guess I can’t resist the shape.  I’ve got swirl earwires, hammered swirls and even copper swirls wrapped in sterling wire.

I have a new necklace to share too but that will have to wait for another day!
