Hello friends
Are you as glad as I am that it’s Friday? I don’t know where this week went. Today was a special day for my 2nd grader…he was a President for the day! The second graders put on a play this morning about Famous Americans. A few weeks ago they completed a book report after reading a biography of their choice. My son chose JFK so here you see him all dressed up in his spiffy suit. There were 3 John F. Kennedys walking around, 3 George Washingtons, 8 Neil Armstrongs, 1 President Obama…and the most popular person in American History? A whopping 11 students dressed up as Helen Keller! This was out of 6 second grade classes. Here’s my little President –
Now on to a beady update. Last night I finished this little number. Just look at that beautiful porcelain heart pendant by Nancy Schindler of Round Rabbit. I loved that shade of teal/blue the moment I saw it. I found some aquamarine beads and Swarovksi crystals (in my favorite color, Indian Saphire) that are just the right complement. I gave the necklace a bit of a rustic look with stainless steel wire.
Here’s a great every day bracelet for those of you who like silver, silver and all silver. I collected a handful of Thai Silver beads for this one. It has a pretty little toggle too.
I am heading to the Gem and Jewelry Show again tomorrow. It seems like yesterday that I was there right before the holidays. I’ll be looking for unique Thai and Bali silver beads as well as pearls and faceted gem stones. I’ll see about posting my latest finds here!
Here’s my silly little guy wishing you a great weekend!

Wow! I love what you did with RoundRabbit’s heart pendant! The light teal color and dark grey wire really go well together. I love the bracelet too! I’m inspired 🙂
