How does that sound? mmmmmm! With the colder weather, I can’t help but opt for a latte instead of my usual coffee…. I just love that steamed milk which keeps it piping hot. Okay, I’ll admit I’ve never quite had a blend like a white chocolate toasted almond latte. I can picture one in my mind though and it takes the form of this lampwork and wire work bracelet…..

I fell back on a favorite bracelet style from my earlier jewelry designing days. There was a time that I used lampwork in just about everything – mixed with sterling silver wire links. That’s the fun part – making the links. I still love lampwork and decided to pull out a set that I’ve kept stashed away for far too long. So long that I’m not 100% sure who made the beads. I was quite sure that they were made by Moon Stumpp….and she says she is 80% sure they are hers. 🙂 This demonstrates the need to label your art beads…you never know how long you just might hold on to them!
The real twist to this bracelet is that I used sterling silver-filled wire in various gauges, and you can’t even tell. I still oxidized the piece and gave it a turn in the tumbler. The properties are just about the same and the cost was cut considerably. It’s a great option because there’s nothing like the look of silver!

Sold, thank you.
Enjoy your day! And remember, a latte can make it even better. :-)

Makes me want a latte, and at this time of night that wouldn’t be such a great idea! Love this bracelet! Love the colors and your wire designs. the lampwork beads are delicious!
What a lovely bracelet…gorgeous colors in the lampwork and I love your wire work, Cindy….I have some filled wire…must break it out…for some reason I thought you couldn’t LOS it. Thank you for that!

I want a latte too!! What a beautiful bracelet and man, after my second silver order in a month, my pocketbook is suffering. I *need* to give silver filled a try!
Beautiful piece!
Hi Cindy, what a beautiful bracelet and your wire work is exquisite…i have wanted to try the silver fill but there are so many different types it’s confusing…nice that you can still antique it though.
take care ttfn Lana 🙂
I tend to hang on to lampwork beads too. They’re just so beautiful and special. But I am trying to use them more (only because I keep buying them and need the room–shhh don’t tell hubby).
Your bracelet is just gorgeous! I would have never known that the silver was silver filled. I’ll have to give it a try.
Happy Wednesday!
Beautiful bracelet and you wire work is always so great. I just got some silver filled in the main Monday but haven’t had a chance to use it yet. Nice to know you can use LOS. Stupid question – I have never used a tumbler but do you put the finished bracelet with the stones in the tumbler?
It’s a cool morning here and a latte would be really nice! The bracelet is beautiful and glad to see you used the silver filled wire with success. I am with Susan would love for you to do a post on tumbling…
Yummy White chocolate toasted almond latte! Oh yeah and the bracelet is yummy too! I really like the lampwork beads and your silver links.

Gorgeous! I haven’t tried silver filled yet but it looks like a great option 🙂
Stunning!
I love this style of bracelet that you make! This one is a beauty 🙂 I have yet to try silver-filled, but if this is the result, I have to go get some!
Love the bracelet. And now, of course, I’m craving a coffee drink!! 🙂
Love this bracelet and wonderful wire work!
I love it and might have to try that wire — but I’m afraid I’d get things mixed up in the scraps stash!
Love the linkage!
Okay- The big question is now- when are YOU going to give a class on how you make those oh-so-fab links? What a talent you have. You need to share!
I’ll definitely be in that class, for sure!

What a great piece to wear while having that yummy latte!!
Gorgeous Cindy! Impeccable wirework, I’m with Maureen, you need to teach! I love that wrapped coil link. I used the silver filled wire in my bead soup piece and was very happy with it using the LOS too. Great alternative
My favorite part? The wired link components! So fun!
Wow Cindy i love the Bracelet, the beads are really yummy.
Now Sterling Silver filled wire, this is something that interests me muchly. I’ve just begun metal working and the price of silver scares me witless, so much so that i haven’t been brace enough to use it. I was actually just about to purchase some sterling silver wire for a design, and i’m so glad i saw your post first. I’m off to hunt down this fantastic alternative, thank you
WOW!!! I love it!!!
Yes, you put your finished jewelry with the stainless steel shot together. As they tumble around, this polishes and work-hardens the jewelry.
Of course I am not suprised to see that this beauty is already sold!!…and all this coffe talk is making me drool for a nice hot cup of java!!Hugs,Cat
Really nice work on this, Cindy! And thanks for letting us all know how the new wire reacts and responds to our normal technique. I don’t use silver that much but I was just about to order new wire so maybe I’ll try the silver-filled.
Oh this totally reminds me of a latte ( which I didn’t get to have for a week) YUM – I can’t wait to get my hands on some silver filled wire – it looks fantastic!
This bracelet is very nice! And you’re site is nice to 🙂
I really like the look of the silver filled wire & look forward to trying it.
GREAT bracelet!
Time for coffee!
🙂
Beautiful links Cindy! I love a good latte and definitely have been indulging in more than my share lately!
