Focus on Life – Week 6 {feel the love}

by Cindy on February 9, 2013

Here it is, week 6 of Sally Russick’s Focus on Life 2013 photo challenge.   The prompt this week – “feel the love”.

One way I feel the love, is when I am making things.   Another way – when I’m spending crafting time with my little buddy.  Oh how he loves to make things with his little hands too.  And that sure makes me happy!

Always a special time with children. Always a joy to be a part of. So glad you shared this with us. I miss it too! But luckily I have grandchildren who love to make things.

What special memories that creates for both of you. He is so cute and will you look at those eyelashes!!

Cindy February 9, 2013 at 9:32 am

Thanks everyone! And Susan, you should see my 10 year old’s eyelashes….they are so thick they look like he’s wearing fake eyelashes. He gets lots of compliments on them. 🙂

That last photo especially is precious. I think one of the most loving things you can do for your children is share time like this with them. You’ll both cherish it in the years to come.

There is nothing greater than crafting with your children and now for me my grandchild. And your pictures captured the time so well.

The love is flowing in your photos! I’m looking for a way to capture that feeling myself (without having to wait for grandchildren!)

You’ve captured some really precious memories here. And the shots themselves are so crisp and clear. Very pretty!

I’m a true believer in starting your kids off with crafts and creativity early on in life; that’s what my mom did with both my sister and I since we were wee little ones and we both grew up with a love of arts and crafts ^.^

Lovely pictures Cindy! I love your life captures 🙂

Making things by hand is so truly a work of love. So sweet to see your son focused on his art.

Sandra February 9, 2013 at 5:47 pm

It starts with a mentor and then they blossom into artists. I think there is competition in the Wimmer house. Stay on your game, Cindy. Thanks for sharing the love.

Sally February 9, 2013 at 8:36 pm

Cindy, he’s quite the artist! I love to watch little hands paint and how they aren’t afraid to use all of the colors! He’s so adorable!

Tanya February 9, 2013 at 10:17 pm

I love your photos. Your son looks so serious and his artwork is gorgeous. I love that you cut the hearts out and left him the outlines .. great idea.

Everybody needs a little buddy to create with! I absolutely love little kid art.

The best of love: making memories with your little ones! My 10 yo still loves to craft with me, and I adore those moments 🙂 thank you for sharing yours.

Jenny February 10, 2013 at 1:18 pm

He’s doing it again – killing me with his cuteness!

LoriF February 10, 2013 at 5:32 pm

Awww…would love to have a buddy like this to create with! I’m delighted for you both, that you have this very special opportunity.

What a beautiful way to feel the love! Crafting always makes me feel love because I am working on something special for someone; something from the heart.

I also love your heart shaped punch! I have never seen that shape before in a punch. It reminds me of a metal bezel that I have-same shape. I tried finding one over the weekend with no luck. Maybe it is just too close to Valentine’s Day and stores are sold out!

Sumi February 11, 2013 at 5:33 pm

It truly is fun crafting with kiddos!! They might sometimes surprise us with some great shapes, or color combinations!!
