1.  SWAP

I’ve been at it again with the latest Charmsters charm swap.  What I love about this group is that you can join in whenever you see a  swap that meets your fancy.  This time around I joined the Chain, Chain, Chain swap.  We were to create 2 chain links for 22 participants for a total of 44 links.  The hope was that we could create a base necklace for future charms.  I used annealed steel wire to create my wire links…they remind me of paperclips.  I’d like to make these again with a thicker gauge copper wire and oxidize them.

And remember the other swap that I completed recently?  The stamped metal charm swap was my very first with this group of artists.  I was SO excited when my envelope full of goodies arrived!  The word is that the packaging is as cool as the charms, and boy was that true!  I poured the content of the envelope out on to the table and the kids gathered around…oooh!  ah!  Everyone wanted to touch them.  We were amazed at the creative packaging and all of the beautiful stamped charms that we found inside.

I signed up for my last swap of the year…the 12 Days of Christmas.  This one filled up immediately…I’m looking forward to this fun holiday theme – and making 12 charms this time will be much easier.

2.  New START

Oh so bittersweet…the school year started for my middle boys.  We are 3 days in to the 2nd grade and Kindergarten around here.   I’m proud of my little guys…they are getting acclimated to their new school and making friends.  Looks like they have wonderful teachers and have the excitement of the new year to look forward to.  We’ve received an invitation to the first birthday party of the year…and I’m figuring my way through the carpool lanes without upsetting too many seasoned parents.  We’re off to a good start.

I’ve enjoyed the rare opportunity to spend some almost-one-on-one time with my oldest son.  We’ve gone out to lunch, baked chocolate chip cookies, and today we went to the WaterMine – a water park.

I’ve put some of my jewelry on SALE!  I’ll be adding new pieces soon…

Have a great day & thanks for stopping by! 🙂

What sweet pictures of the boys! And the picture of your son holding the book is a perfect memory keeper for the first day of kindergarten. The links and packaging you came up with are very cool. I’d love to get a package like that. All those colors! Good luck on the sale! People will start shopping for Christmas soon, I hope.

Your boys are as always just so incredibly handsome. I love that last photo of your oldes having what looks like quite the conversation with your youngest. Precious! The charm swap sounds like so much fun. I love those links you made and can’t wait to see what you do with the ones you get back.

Those boys are so beautiful! I could barely get my kids to stand still for a picture on the first day of school (my newly christened middle school son is way too cool for that!).

I LOVE THE CHARMS! I want to play! I want to join in…I need to do this! It will spark my creativity is so many ways!

And I am off to check out your sale. Nothing brings me more joy than finding new things to love on sale. *wink*

Hi Cindy,
Thanks sooo much for your visit and lovely comment on my blog! Your creations are gorgeous,I love them! And your boys are just adorable! About your question, I just stamped some polymer clay and cut it in little tiles that I painted and varnished after baking them, so nothing special, but I’m happy with the result. Glad you liked them as well! 🙂
Hugs, Sanda xx

Cindy: Those paper clip links are genius! And, I love the very beautiful way you packaged/displayed them. I would love to be involved in a swap. How does that happen? Do people have to like you? 😉

Your links are just gorgeous, love the oxydized patina you put on them. And what to say about all the charms you received, they are all so … wonderful.

Please, give lots of kisses from France to your lovely boys.

First off – I LOVE the red hair!! What absolute cutie-pies you have!! (Of my three children, none of them got my hair. I’m so envious! I ended up with 2 blondes and a brunette. *grin*)

Secondly – Wowzers, what a haul!! You ended up with some gorgeous charms from that swap (although I have to admit that I liked yours the best). I wish I could make stuff like that… And I can see what you mean about the packaging – everything looks so creative and yet professional! Lucky girl!!
