Peeps and friends

Peeps…you know those sugary yellow marshmallow chicks that are in every Easter candy isle right about now?  The Easter bunny always brought us Peeps.  I’m not sure how many we really ever ate, but it just wouldn’t be the same if they weren’t tucked in our Easter baskets all the same.  I’ve featured those famous Peeps in a sugar-free version, just in time for Easter.

I’ve been collecting a few Easter lampwork beads by Marilyn over at Novelty Beads  and finally put them together in a sweet seasonal bracelet.  Marilyn’s sculpted beads always amaze me.  Just look at the detail in that carrot…how she made it so chubby with each individual leaf strand visible.  And look at that adorable bunny created by Jena of Jenagirl Beads, complete with a button nose and rosy cheeks! 

With everything I’ve had going on recently, I reminded myself that {hippity, hoppity}  Easter’s on its way…and got to it to make something to celebrate the holiday!
